Private instructor courses
PRACTIC
PRACTIC is the path for those who prefer to study the ACT curriculum through private instruction. These certification programs provide a comprehensive education in ACT methodology, didactics, and tactical application, with personalized training and continuous supervision.
Training is delivered through weekly live one-on-one sessions (usually one hour, once a week) supported by online video materials and our library of fight footage analysis. Progress takes place gradually, with plenty of time for practice between lessons. Completion typically requires 1.5 to 2 years of study, including in-person practical sessions either in the participant’s country or in Israel.
No shortcuts are taken. The process ensures a deep understanding of ACT, preparing participants not only to fight but to teach with clarity and confidence.
Short Weapons Private Instructor Course
This program focuses on the ACT short weapons curriculum. Over roughly 60 hours of instruction, the student learns to teach combat with knife, machete, tactical baton, kubotan, and analogous improvised weapons such as small umbrellas or magazines.
The course explains the ACT method as a whole: what feeds the system, why techniques are selected, and how weapon training is taught. Students study techniques that have proven effective in combat, with detailed tactical analysis supported by structured training methods.
Upon completion and examination, the participant is certified as an ACT Short Weapons Full Coach.
Cost: €3,500
Long Weapons Private Instructor Course
This program focuses on the long weapons of ACT. Over approximately 60 hours, students study the Katana or Longsword, the Jo staff, or the spear (Yari/Naginata). Instruction emphasizes technical depth, tactical application, and teaching methodology.
Graduates are certified as ACT Long Weapons Full Coach.
Cost: €3,500
ACT Full Coach Private Course
This comprehensive course combines the short and long weapons programs into one full track of approximately 120 hours. Graduates of this program are certified as ACT Full Coaches, authorized to teach the complete curriculum with short and long weapons.
The Full Coach program equips the graduate to apply ACT principles to any weapon, including those not formally part of the curriculum.
Graduates are certified as ACT Full Coach.
Students may begin with either short or long weapons and later continue toward the Full Coach certification. The maximum total cost for the Full Coach track is €5,500, regardless of the order in which courses are taken. Examination fees, diplomas, and updates to the program are included in this fee.
Cost: €5,500
ACT TEHNIC Private Course
The TEHNIC (Translative Empty Hand Neutralization Instructor Course) focuses on the translative process that carries ACT’s weapon-fighting methodology into empty-hand combat. This program is designed for instructors who want to build a solid foundation in unarmed fighting while remaining rooted in ACT’s combative algorithm.
Over the course of study, participants learn to apply the same principles of timing, distance, and tactical decision-making that govern weapon fighting, now adapted for empty-hand confrontations. The emphasis is not on winning by points or sportive rules, but on neutralizing the opponent. The aim is to deal sufficient damage until the attacker can no longer continue, always with the mindset of survival rather than competition.
Graduates are certified as TEHNIC Instructors, able to teach ACT’s translative empty-hand methodology to their own students.
Cost: €2,500
